The night begins to swim in arms outreached

Circling and spinning

Up and down

From the bar stool life seems dull

“Let’s go outside and see the world”, I say

The sun is setting on the land

It gives off this hazy, warm glow.

One smoke, two smokes

“I’ve had enough,” you said

“The sun is hurting my eyes and head and makes it hard to think,”

you  say, spinning to open the door

“It is probably just all the liquor and lack of sleep,” I say,

“I am going to keep going,

I am done

I walk slowly out to my car

watching the sun

drifting out of site

I applaud it for a job well done

I think we may start to be seeing a little more of each other Sun
