Buckland Warner & Graham are Kevin Buckland (drums/vocals), Ryan Warner (guitar/vocals/harmonica), and Paul Graham (guitar/ukulele/vocals). These musicians found each other in the most unlikely of places: at an outdoors Open Mic at the Worthington Farmer's Market. The market was a blessing. It allowed them to get together every Saturday morning and practice together for up to 3 hours in front of a live crowd, which allowed them to learn the songs, tighten up, and arrange the songs for future shows. Maybe most importantly, it allowed them to quickly discover that they had a musical chemistry that worked. As Paul once said one morning while setting up, "If we can sound good at 9:00 in the morning, then we should sound real good playing at 9:00 at night." Since the very beginning, the trio was founded on songs that they had collected over the years, songs that they had individually written, and a great big dose of improvisational playing. As they moved away from the market and started practicing more and playing other venues, they have been able to work develop their own style and approach to the songs by working on arrangements, vocals and harmonies. Music wasn't the only thing that these three had in common, they soon found out they were all artists as well. Kevin is a painter and graphic designer, Paul is a photographer, and Ryan is a photographer, writer and graphic designer. You can see their work around Columbus and the Ohio area. Buckland Warner & Graham are Americana musicians that have found a connection with the art of storytelling and song. In addition to performing original songs, the trio plays tunes by The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Cracker, Wilco, Old Crow Medicine Show, Richard Thompson, Led Zeppelin, Damien Jurado, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Bob Marley, and Todd Snider, along with traditional songs from American blues, country, and bluegrass.
