There is a small fishing pond at Whetstone Park and once summer hits you can find some bigger water birds hanging out there. They come over from the Olentangy River that runs right by the park. I like to go up there early in the morning and try to photograph the different birds that have gathered there. This grey egret was a treat as I normally do not see them up close enough where I can photograph them. I do not like super huge lenses so the small zoom I carry with me was enough for this morning.
